THE OLD-(SCH)COOL PROGRAM | Toronto
For the rest of 2021, Urban Expeditions will support home-schooling parents and chil children aged 8-11 with day-camp style outdoor experiences.
Our Old-(Sch)cool program offers local adventures modified for school-aged children. It's a weekly series of themed activities closely linked to school curriculum and innovative educational practices.
The goal is to promote physical health and wellness by providing old-school outdoor opportunities to learn. Each weekly adventure include online resources, small group facilitation and lunch.
Parents and children can expect to explore the urban park and trail systems, enjoy light hiking, cycling and time for quiet daily reflection. The Old-(Sch)cool program provides 3 full days of local adventure with moderate outdoor activity. For more details, please contact 4164277227 .
During the events of Covid-19, all of our in-person tours and games have been suspended until further notice. Please check the TUG app for more opportunities to explore.
HOW IT WORKS
Sign-up for the week you desire. Our aim is to support parents and children through the process of creating a uniquely individual new normal.
Our groups are led by trained educators and facilitators who'll guide participants on a full-day adventure in the city. Adventures follow a pre-determined path through the city and set themes.
Parent/guardian participation is always welcome, and the (hand) icon on the map will provide convenient locations to observe your child's daily adventure.
